Energy Bridge

From 2017 onwards, Energy Bridge will export 5,000MW of energy created from onshore windfarms directly to Wales where it will be distributed to the rest of the United Kingdom. This will create a massive and brand new export Industry for our country to an estimated value of over EUR2 billion per year for at least 25 years.

This new and exciting industry has the potential to create up to 40,000 jobs in trades and manufacturing throughout Ireland. For every megawatt of wind energy produced in Ireland only one person is employed whereas in Germany eight people are employed for the same amount. This is because most of the wind turbines installed in Germany are also manufactured there. Mainstream plans are to change things by bringing the manufacturing process here to Ireland.
