17 NEW START-UPS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO INTO STAGE 1 (FUNDAMENTALS) OF THE CLIMATE-KIC ACCELERATOR IN THE NETHERLANDS. IN ADDITION 5 TEAMS ARE ACCEPTED TO MOVE FORWARD INTO STAGE 2 AND 2 HAVE JUST STARTED IN STAGE 3.
The Climate-KIC Accelerator is open for all clean tech start-ups in the Netherlands and even abroad. Out of 37 applications the review board advised to accept 17 teams to enter the Fundamentals stage. The co-founders of these teams will start their training with a 2-day bootcamp in January and followed by 6 training sessions. Before their graduation mid-march they will be coached on an individual basis by our Accelerator coaches. The grant in stage 1 is 10.000 euro.
The new start-ups accepted in stage 1 are:
ALGREEN: The production of fresh micro algae / spirulina for the international food market
BIO2CHP: Micro-scale, modular, bio-based energy production units to SMEs
BLADERUNNER: Energy: Offering clean reliable energy by grid extensions for developing countries
BLUE BATTERY: Device for storing energy overproduction from photovoltaic systems
CYBE: Mobile modular 3D concrete printer targeting construction industry
FLORACCESS: Platform to improve inefficient supply chain in Horticulture sector
LANDMAPP: Smart phone application for mapping unregistered land in developing countries
MGAUBEL:Minerable composite product for the civil construction industry
NANOSOL: Simulation tool for solar energy applications targeting roof owners
PALLETECHNOLOGY: Chipped modular paper pallet with strength properties of pine wood
PARKBEE: Smart parking solution to save CO2 from traffic congestions in the city.
PCM COOLING: a large increase in energy efficiency, using biodegradable phase change materials
POWERWINDOW:PowerWindow makes energy-producing light-tinted windows.
REPURPOSE: Repurpose charts the materials from renovation/demolition projects with value within the
Building, which are ready to be sold to dealers or are available for reuse in new buildings.
ROESTMAN: Remote sensor to measure the condition of anticorrosion coatings for offshore wind turbines.
SYNEXT ENERGY: develops implosion engines that leverages heat as energy.
From our current start-up network Algoritmica, Crystal Shower, Energie365, Solar Applications Lab en SUREST are ready to start customer validation in stage 2. They will start their Validation training at the end of January and receive a grant of 25.000 euro. Mobile water management and Cohere have just started in stage 3.
